Happy Birthday Georgie Bean

Yesterday was my baby's 4th birthday. I can not believe that this much time has gone by. It feels like just yesterday we were in the hospital constantly. He got his transplant just under 3 years ago. Scarlet is now old enough to have gone through all George has, that kills me even more. But we had a great day yesterday. He woke up and we sang to him and opened presents while he ate Coco Puffs, his favorite cereal. How can you not like it though, at the end you end up with Chocolate Milk, nothing better. Then we played with toys and watched Kung Fu Panda, one of his gifts. We went to Randi's and had Cupcakes and played with the fam. Thanks everyone for coming. Tonight we are going to Spencer's parents for FHE and having cupcakes for Georgies birthday too. Gotta love multiple days of birthday. I know everyone makes lists of what they love about the birthday boy but there is too much. I just hope he knows it!! Happy Birthday Georgie we love you!!

So a few side notes, Georges Pneumonia is going well. Today was the last day of his antibiotic so we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will not come back. He has his annual Heart Cath(and heart biopsy) on March 2nd if his cough will go away otherwise we are going to re-schedule. Which I hate doing because I hate the Heart Cath, kinda scary procedure and I like to get it over with. Another exciting thing that happened yesterday with Randi. Henry cracked his head open and had to get 6 staples in the back of his head. To top it off he did not get numbed, way to be brave Hank, I would not have been able to not be numbed. I am a wimp!! Here is a picture of it, you can not see all of them but they look like a regular staple!?! Weird.

You have GOT to be kidding me!!!

I can not believe this but last night George was up with a fever of 102 and we went to the Doctors this morning. After a rapid strep and x-ray and blood cultures, George has Pneumonia AGAIN!!! Oh yea I am ticked, we don't go anywhere. They said that because of his immune system and that he has now had pneumonia once he is more susceptible to it. I am ready to move to California to warm weather and where you don't get sick as much. Just about every time he will get a cold from now on it will most likely turn into Pneumonia!!!!!!! I am really ticked, so stay tuned for a more positive post when I have relaxed!!!

Rudy is the best!!

This is my new all time favorite book. I love the story and the characters in it. Rudy Steiner is my favorite in this book he has so much personality I love it. If you do read it you will love the Jesse Owens incident with Rudy. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good story and a bit of history, it makes you laugh and cry. An easy read and it takes place in Nazi Germany but not on the Jewish side it is the German side of the story and how hard life was for them as well. Very good, please read this!!!

Too Long!

I can not believe that it has been this long. We have been busy, hard to believe because we don't go anywhere but we have been. We finished the baseboards in the basement and painted the basement bathroom. We went to Home Depot and got the $5 reject paint. Great deals!! We have been to the Zoo which I love to do in the winter because all the animals are actually out and there is no one there. We just went with Annie and her kids George loves Lily. They are shaping up to be good friends. He loves to have her over to play. And lets face it she is just cute too!!

George and Lily Posing at the Zoo.
Scarlet is getting so old, she wants to sit in a big girl chair and eat with a spoon and fork. As you can see not much gets in her mouth but she is happy. She is showing off her cheese face.
We went to the HAFB Museum a few weekends ago it was great. Partly because Spencer went with us on a Saturday and he did not have any projects to do. We went and saw the planes and the kids loved it.

Scarlet kept pointing at the planes she thought they were so cool. We will have to go to the Air show and see what she thinks.

After we saw the planes we went to Firehouse Pizza. We had not bee out as a family for the longest time. We have bee in our bubble for so long now. It was nice to get out for a little while, we went to dinner around 5 so there was no one there. But as usual Scarlet wanted to feed herself and got it everywhere.

I seriously love these kids I don't know what I would do without their cute little faces!!! I could eat them!
